# Ibis Learning | Houston Dual-Language > iBis Learning is a dual-language (English-Spanish) microschool in Houston's Spring Branch neighborhood, serving children in Pre-K4 through 5th grade (ages 4 to 11). Founded by Ligia "GiGi" Vasquez, a Texas Education Agency-certified bilingual teacher, the school pairs dual-language immersion with executive function development and inquiry-based learning in classes capped at 12 students. iBis runs a modular schedule that supports both full-time enrollment and homeschool families attending part-time, and it has been recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Association. iBis Learning offers modular half-day and full-day programs for children ages 4 to 11: Core Instruction in the morning, Learning Beyond the Core in the afternoon, a combined Full-Day Experience, Exploration Fridays & STEM Lab, and Summer Camps. Programs can be combined in any configuration, and a dedicated hybrid track lets homeschool families attend mornings only, afternoons only, Fridays only, or any mix, built around their existing homeschool plan rather than replacing it. Every program is led by a TEA-certified bilingual teacher with a maximum of 12 students per class. Tuition starts at $378 per monthly installment (10 installments per year) and varies by program schedule. Families who pay the full year upfront receive a 5% discount, and families enrolling more than one child receive a 10% sibling discount. iBis is pursuing approval as a Texas Education Savings Account (TEFA) provider and offers founding family scholarships and other financial support on a case-by-case basis. The instructional model blends Inquiry-Based Learning with Competency Skill Mastery inside an Executive Functions framework, aligned to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards. Founder GiGi Vasquez holds Texas Education Agency certifications as an Early Childhood–6th Grade Generalist and Bilingual Teacher, along with Science of Reading and CDA Pre-3–5 Bilingual credentials, and is completing a three-year Tools of the Mind certification in executive function development. iBis Learning has been recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Association (MSA), a formal step on its path toward full accreditation. **Does my child have to attend every day?** No. iBis offers flexible part-time options for homeschool families, including mornings only, afternoons only, Fridays only, or any combination built around the family's schedule. **Is iBis accredited?** iBis is led by a TEA-certified Early Childhood Bilingual Teacher and has been recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Association.
